RAMALLAH, July 18, 2006, (WAFA)-President Mahmoud Abbas received Wednesday in Presidential HQ in Ramallah, Mr. Sergei Yakovlev, the Special Representative of the Russian Minister of Foreign Affairs.
The President briefed Yakoylev on the dangerous situation in the Palestinian territories due to the continued Israeli military escalation as well as the hard living situation of the Palestinian people in light of cutting off international aid, siege and the closure of crossings.
They also tackled the international efforts to solve the current crisis that threatens the situation in the region.
