Former Iranian president Mohammad Khatami has written a letter to world leaders and nonpolitical international figures expressing his deep concern over the escalating crisis in the Middle East, the Iranian Students News Agency (ISNA) reported on Tuesday.
The contents of the letter will soon be released. It mainly puts emphasis on the need to defend the human and basic rights of the Lebanese and Palestinian nations.
Khatami has called on world leaders to work together to bring an end to the pains of the suffering regional nations.
